My journal is bent, what can I do ?
It can happen that the post office folds the journals during delivery. We try to address this problem in every possible way. Unfortunately, there’s no magic solution (or at least we haven’t found one yet 😉).
This issue is mainly related to the postal worker, who may fold large envelopes out of habit or for convenience.
We discussed this with several postal workers, and they agree: the best way to prevent it is to clearly mark on the envelope “Do not fold”.
We implemented this, and we’ve seen a significant decrease in this problem since then. 📉
Sometimes, the issue also comes from the mailbox, if it’s not large enough for the envelope to fit entirely.
Another solution would be to send the journals in a cardboard or bubble mailer.
We haven’t chosen this option because it would significantly increase costs: for the envelope and shipping.
We estimate this increase at €3–4, which would require raising the price of your journals considerably. 💸
It’s also a solution that isn’t 100% effective.
Premium journals are sent in a bubble mailer and are semi-rigid. Some are still folded by the postal worker. 😕
What you can do:
Since the problem is mainly related to the postal worker, the most effective solution is to talk to the postal worker:
👋 Meet them on the street, and politely explain the problem and your disappointment at seeing your beautiful journals damaged.
From experience, this works very well!
Another option is to file a complaint with your local post office.
Here are the links to do so:
And of course, contact us so we can reprint your journal 😇!
