I no longer see all my WhatsApp photos

Since the April 2025 update, WhatsApp introduced an advanced privacy feature that better protects your messages and photos.

This option can be turned on or off for groups.

Specifically, if the option is enabled, images received on WhatsApp are now stored in a private, encrypted space, which other apps (like Tribu) can no longer access automatically.

👉 Result: WhatsApp photos no longer appear in your gallery and cannot be imported directly into your journal.

If you want to use them in Tribu, you need to save them manually to your gallery before adding them (or disable this feature).
