How Tribu Works

Using Tribu is very simple. Here are the main steps to get started:

Sign up: create your account, your Tribu, and invite other members.
Create your journal / monthly pages: add photos and texts to bring your stories to life in a beautiful journal.
End of the month: on the last day, the journal is saved and sent to your Archives. If it’s a family journal, it is printed and sent to the recipient! ✨ This is where the magic happens.

I create my Tribu account

Download the Tribu app and create your account with your email and password.

💡 Pro tip: You can sign up with your Gmail or Apple account, no risk of forgetting your password.

I give a name to my Tribu

Your Tribu is the name of your family or your journal. It appears on the cover and is used to identify you in our communications. You can change it if you want.

I invite other members to join my Tribu

You create your journal together, collaboratively! Each member has the same rights: add photos, write texts, share memories…

Invite as many members as you want to enrich your journal.

⚠️ Each member must have their own account.

Why?

Creating an account and downloading the app is free. You only pay for the subscription, which covers the journals sent.
You know who uploaded which photo.
If everyone shares the same account, it’s impossible to have multiple Tribus (and to send journals to all your grandparents or create your own family album).
It ensures better security.

Subscription

Using Tribu is free, but to receive printed memories, you need a subscription.

You can select a product (and a duration, for family journals).

We offer 4 subscriptions: Mini, Classic, Premium, and Annual Album

Mini: A5 journal, up to 15 customizable pages, sent at the end of the month.
Classic: A4 journal, 15 pages, sent at the end of the month.
Premium: A4 journal, 20 pages, semi-rigid cover, high-quality paper, sent at the end of the month.
Annual Album: collector album that compiles all your monthly journals. Fill up to 16 pages per journal and receive the complete album at the end of the year.

Duration varies from 1 month to 1 year… the longer your subscription, the better the price!

💡 Pro tip: you can try Tribu with a one-month subscription. You can then extend it and benefit from the discounted rate, even for your first month. Testing the app and the web platform is completely free.

I choose one or more recipients

The recipient is the person who receives the journal. You can add multiple recipients.

Adding a recipient is paid, at the same price as the subscription (-10%).

Creating the Journal

At Tribu, you create your own journal. It’s simple, fast, and the best way to make a masterpiece that will touch all recipients.

I import my photos: All members can import as many photos as they want.
I choose my layout: Choose from a wide range of layouts. Each page can contain 1 to 20 photos (with or without text). You can also make a text-only page.
I finalize my journal: You have until the last day of the month at 11:59 PM to complete your journal. After this, it is automatically saved, printed (for family journals), and sent.

Good to know:

All members have equal rights to add and edit all pages.
Only the person who paid for the subscription can activate or deactivate auto-renewal.

End of the Month

For family journals

Once the month is over, we send the journals to print as quickly as possible.

At 00:00 on the 1st, you no longer have access to your journal. During the night, it is converted into a PDF (ready for printing).
In the morning, we send the digital version by email (it also appears in your account under "My Journals / Archives").
Then the journals are printed, dried, put in envelopes, and mailed. In Belgium, France, and Germany, they usually arrive around the 10th. Outside these countries, delivery may take longer.
Finally, the journal is delivered directly to the recipient’s mailbox.

For Annual Albums

At 00:00 on the 1st, you no longer have access to your journal. During the night, it is converted into a PDF for later printing.
In the morning, the digital version is sent by email and appears in your account under "My Journals / Archives".

The Next Month 🥳

At the start of the month, you can begin your next journal. Everything works exactly the same as the previous month.
