# What happens with blank pages?

|| This article only applies if you have a journal printed every month (Mini, Classic or Premium).

### I have a "printed journal" subscription (Mini or Classique), printed at the end of the month

To avoid printing any blank pages, Classique or Mini journals must have ${color}[#5bbca7](6, 10 or 14 pages) (not counting the two cover pages).

**Why?**

Classique and Mini journals have, by default, 16 pages:
* The front cover, customisable (always present)
* 14 customisable pages
* The back cover, non-customisable (always present)

We create journals using folded sheets in A3 format (for Classique) or A4 (for Mini), printed double-sided.
Each of these sheets therefore contains 4 pages.

* 1 folded sheet = 4 pages (2 covers + 2 customisable pages) → A journal with a single sheet is not printed
* 2 folded sheets = 8 pages (2 covers + 6 customisable pages)
* 3 folded sheets = 12 pages (2 covers + 10 customisable pages)
* 4 folded sheets = 16 pages (2 covers + 14 customisable pages)

The same logic applies when you add +4 or +8 pages to your journal some months.

||| To avoid blank pages, fill 6, 10 or 14 pages (not counting the two covers).

|| 👀 Pro tip: if you don’t have enough content to reach 6, 10 or 14 pages, leave the first page blank – like a title page – to give your journal a clean look!

### I have a "printed journal" subscription (Premium), printed at the end of the month

Due to its square spine, Premium journals always have 24 pages. Blank pages are printed.
