# What happens if my reader passes away?

|| This article only applies if you have a journal printed every month (Mini, Classic or Premium).

Tribu was founded to reconnect generations. The first people to receive a Tribu journal were our grandparents 💌 Some of our journals are sent to elderly people. Unfortunately, the death of a recipient is sometimes part of our reality.

What matters to us is that this possibility **never holds back your wish to make them happy**!
If your recipient were to pass away, or could no longer fully enjoy their journals, you can **stop your subscription at any time**, simply by contacting us.

After stopping your subscription, several options are available to you:

* Use the remaining months to create a last "tribute" journal, sent to several family members
* Continue with Tribu, but sending the paper journals directly to descendants, to uncles and aunts,...
* Turn the remaining value of the subscription into a voucher to give to another family
* Turn the remaining value of the subscription into a voucher to order a Recap Album or create another Tribu (for yourself or your children, for example)
* Turn the remaining value of the subscription into a donation to one of our partner associations: [Kick Cancer (fighting pediatric cancer),](https://kickcancer.org/) [Association contre la maladie d'Alzheimer](https://www.aalz.be/) or [Canopea](https://www.canopea.be/) (to speed up the ecological transition).
* Request a refund
* Leave the remaining balance to Tribu to support our future projects 💛

Whatever you decide, get in touch with us to tell us what you'd like and we'll do our best to make it happen 🙏
You can also, in every email sent by Tribu, **unsubscribe from our communications** so you no longer receive them 📭
