# How does the monthly printed journal work?

|| This article only applies if you have a journal printed every month (Mini, Classic or Premium).

**The monthly printed journal (Mini, Classic or Premium) is a printed journal that you create every month with your loved ones, through our app.**

How?

### Step 1: create your Tribu

It's free, from the [app](https://faq.mytribunews.com/en/article/is-tribu-available-on-app-1xg63w3/) or the online editor. Your Tribu's name appears as the title on the journal's cover.

### Step 2: invite your loved ones

Invite as many members as you like, for free ([how to](https://faq.mytribunews.com/en/article/how-do-i-add-invite-a-member-to-my-tribu-jrgpvm/)). Everyone has their own account and the same rights: adding photos, writing texts, editing pages. Everything is synced between members, on the app as well as on the web.

### Step 3: take out a subscription

It's what triggers the printing and sending of the journal at the end of the month. You choose a format and a duration, from 1 month to 1 year. You can [try it for free](https://faq.mytribunews.com/en/article/can-i-try-the-app-without-subscribing-for-free-183s6yn/) first.

### And then? Everything is automatic

During the month, you and your loved ones fill in the pages, until 11:59 pm on the last day (France/Belgium time). There's nothing to validate.

On the 1st of the month, the journal is turned into a PDF, emailed to the members of the Tribu, then printed and mailed. It arrives at the recipient's home between the 9th and the 15th of the month, depending on the country. Shipping is free worldwide.

### Good to know

* If the journal has fewer than 4 pages filled in, it isn't sent. We'll write to you with options ([what to do?](https://faq.mytribunews.com/en/article/what-if-i-forget-to-fill-in-my-journal-okgcuv/)).
* If the delivery address is missing, we'll email you to ask you to add it.

### Which format should you choose?

The printed journal comes in three formats:

* **Mini**: A5, 15 customizable pages
* **Classic**: A4, 15 customizable pages
* **Premium**: A4, 20 customizable pages, semi-rigid laminated cover
