# I no longer see all my WhatsApp photos

Since the April 2025 update, WhatsApp introduced an **advanced privacy feature** that better protects your messages and photos.

This option can be turned on or off for groups.

Specifically, if the option is enabled, images received on WhatsApp are now **stored in a private, encrypted space**, which other apps (like Tribu) **can no longer access automatically**.

👉 Result: WhatsApp photos no longer appear in your gallery and cannot be imported directly into your journal.
If you want to use them in Tribu, you need to **save them manually to your gallery** before adding them (or disable this feature).
